Welcome to Beyond the Well

Welcome to Beyond the Well, a counselling practice designed to help you explore new horizons and unlock a world of opportunities.

Our name is inspired by the story of a frog who lived in a well. Though he felt sad and lonely, he had never ventured beyond the darkness of his home. He would gaze up at the bright blue sky and listen to the birds singing, but he remained confined to his familiar surroundings. One day, feeling weighed down by his solitude and sadness, the frog decided to take a leap of faith. He slowly began to climb out of the well, and once at the top, he discovered a vibrant world filled with new friends, beauty, and endless possibilities.

Many of us find ourselves trapped in a well of negative thoughts, feelings, and patterns, leaving us feeling unfulfilled or sad. We all have our unique wells that can hold us back from realising our true potential. It’s common to feel stuck, hopeless, and disconnected from our authentic selves.

Just as the frog gazed up at the sky and wondered what lay beyond, I believe you too can unlock your potential and discover a life that's vibrant, meaningful, and fulfilling.

In our sessions, we will work together to explore your values, goals, and aspirations. We will identify areas where you'd like to grow and develop, creating strategies to overcome obstacles and build resilience. Together, we will cultivate self-awareness and self-compassion while enhancing your relationships and overall well-being.

“The only limit to our realisation of tomorrow will be our doubts of today.”

Franklin D. Roosevelt

Why People Come to Counselling

People come to counselling for various reasons, each as unique as the individual. It may be due to recent life events like a loss or relationship breakdown, unresolved past traumas like domestic abuse or sexual abuse, or simply feeling stuck and unsure about what's causing the distress. Whatever the reason, counselling can be a powerful tool for navigating difficult times. I believe that no problem is too big or too small to bring, and everyone deserves to be heard with empathy and without judgment.
